Read Sirah is an independent publisher of illustrated Sirah graphic novels for Muslim children.
Why we exist
Most modern children grow up knowing every superhero by name — but rarely the man Allah ﷻ chose as the seal of the prophets. We started Read Sirah because we couldn't find a Sirah our own children would want to read. Beautiful, faithful, and rooted in the earliest sources — not summarised, not rushed.
How we work
We are a small, independent team and we choose to keep our identities private. Our work speaks through the page. What matters is what's in the book — and we are accountable to the sources we draw from.
Our scholarly foundation
Every scene in Read Sirah is drawn from three of the most respected works on the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ:
- Ar-Raheeq Al-Makhtum (The Sealed Nectar) by Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri — 1979 winner of the Saudi Awards prize for the best biography of the Prophet ﷺ
- Hadha al-Habib Muhammad ﷺ Ya Muhibb (This is the Beloved Muhammad ﷺ, O Lover) by Abu Bakr al-Jaza'iri — the canonical 608-page Saudi work first published in 1989
- Muhammad: His Life Based on the Earliest Sources by Dr. Martin Lings — the 1983 Western academic classic drawing directly from the earliest Arabic sources

Who Read Sirah is for
Read Sirah is written and illustrated for Muslim children from age 6 and up. The art and pacing also work beautifully for adult readers. Volume 1, The Early Life of the Prophet ﷺ, opens the series with the Prophet's earliest years — from the Year of the Elephant through his youth in Makkah.
